Thank you for your interest in becoming a sperm donor. The Genetics and IVF Institute has been in business since 1970, providing services to infertile patients and physicians worldwide. Our cryobanks, including Fairfax Cryobank and Cryogenic Laboratories, Inc., now have several locations to facilitate these very much in-demand programs.

Millions of people in the U.S. alone are affected by infertility-men and women equally. Sperm donors enable them to realize their dreams of having families. Program compensation is therefore quite rewarding on both a financial and philanthropic basis.

Donor Application Process:  Steps to Becoming a Donor

Step 1: Application: Short Form: Complete the Application online by clicking on the donation office button appropriate for your geographic location.  Forms are submitted online and then reviewed by lab personnel at each location.  If you qualify to continue you will be notified by email.

Step 2: Application: Comprehensive Family Medical Profile: You will be contacted about your application in about 2 weeks.  If you meet the Step 1 criteria, you will be sent a link to the medical questionnaire.  This application covers three generations of your family's health history.

Step 3: Specimen Screening: The lab will contact you to schedule an interview and semen evaluation. You will be asked to produce three to four semen specimens over two weeks for quality evaluation and testing of freezing survivability.

Step 4: Individual & Family Personal Profile: Another online form covers such topics as: grade point averages, scores on standard tests, subjects and interests, activities and awards, special skills, languages and a number of physical statistics. This includes family data such as height, weight, education and physical characteristics of parents, brothers and sisters, aunts, uncles, and grandparents.

Step 5: Medical Testing: FDA regulations require that cryobanks rigorously test sperm donors to optimize the safety of donated sperm. Genetic and infectious disease screening of donors includes testing of blood, semen and urine, and a general physical examination. If the final results are satisfactory, the applicant is approved as an active sperm donor.

Program Commitment and Benefits: Once approved, donors are compensated for each acceptable specimen produced and again when units are released from quarantine. The minimum requirement is one donation per week over the course of a six-month period. Donors are earning an average of $100-$200 per specimen. Individual compensation is determined by semen quality and commitment to the program.

Thank you for your interest! We look forward to having you in the GIVF Cryobanks Donor Program.

Be a Donor Recruiter If for some reason you are not accepted into the program, you can also earn excellent compensation by becoming a donor recruiter. Compensation to recruiters ranges from $500 to $1,000 for EACH donor approved. For more information email recruiters@givf.com.
